DIANA BORRI

Diana Borri joined WMAQ–TV as a student-worker in 1969 and, in the almost four decades since, has worked in a number of capacities at the station including: Compliances & Practices Manager, Broadcast Standards Manager, Program Operations Director, Program Director, Regulatory Affairs Director, Communications Director, Interactivity Director, New Media Director, Convergence Managing Editor,
and Broadcast Operations & EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Officer. 

Borri served four years as the President of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of NATAS.  Prior to that, she served four years as Chapter Vice President, and for 3 years was
the Chapter’s Education & Scholarship Committee Chair. She was a founding member of the NATAS Chicago Foundation, which has distributed more than $100,000 in scholarships in recent years. She has been Emmy Rules & Judging Committee Co-Chair for eight years, while also serving as a member of several NATAS Committees, including Silver Circle Nomination Committee, Silver Circle Production Committee, Emmy Production Committee, Board Nomination Committee, and By–Laws Committee. Borri also served four years as a National Trustee and, in 2006, was reelected to another term as Trustee representing the Chicago/Midwest Chapter. For NATAS nationally, she served on the Education/Media Literacy/NSTV Committee and was
Chair of the national Nomination Committee. In 2000, she received the Governors Award from the Chicago/ Midwest Chapter.

She earned her B.A. from the University of Saint Francis, and while working full-time
at NBC, earned two graduate degrees: a Labor Relations & Personnel M.B.A. from Loyola University and an M.A. in Radio-TV-Film from Northwestern University. She has also taught Broadcast History and Program Theory part–time at Loyola University and TV & Society at Columbia College. She has guest lectured at Northwestern, DePaul, Loyola, Roosevelt, St. Francis, Marquette, Lewis, and Northern Illinois universities, the University of Illinois and Columbia College.

JIM DISCH

Jim Disch is the Director of Radio and Television for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Jim is responsible for designing, operating and programming an instructional television system to serve the 41 high schools in the Archdiocese.

Before his current position, he had an 8-year run as Director of News and Programming for CLTV, Chicagoland's 24-hour regional news channel. Prior to joining CLTV, Jim spent 25 years at WGN-TV, including a dozen years as Assistant News Director. In addition to working in the television news
business, Jim teaches TV journalism. He has taught various television news courses
at Columbia College since the 1970s. Jim has been a valued board member of
the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of NATAS for several years including four years as president.

JACK WILSON

Following a four-year tour of duty as a first Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in both Europe and Vietnam, Jack Wilson began his broadcasting career in the early 70’s working as disc-jockey for a major radio station in Philadelphia.

He moved to Chicago in 1973 and in 1974 went to work for WTTW, the public station, as associate producer. During his eleven year tenure at the station, Wilson moved up the ranks to Vice President of Marketing and Development, which was the position he held when he left in 1985 to form his own company, Jack Wilson and Associates, Inc. From 1985 through 1989, Wilson’s company produced 36 video programs for either broadcast or home video sales.

Wilson currently runs his own video publishing company, JWA/Video, which produces and markets videos to the home and corporate markets. JWA/Video has a library of 11 proprietary products on sale worldwide.

Wilson holds an MA in Communications from Glassboro State College in New Jersey and resides in downtown Chicago with his wife Kathy.
