TERRY D. PETERSON

Terry D. Peterson, is the founder of Verite’ Productions, a multi-national award winning production company, which produces long and short form video productions for broadcast, corporate, and educational projects. Most recently he produced and directed a TV documentary which aired nationally on the Hallmark Channel and on ABC-TV stations. His clients include WVIZ/PBS Ideastream, Cleveland Media Connect, Amistad America, Inc., Faith and Values Media, The United Church of Christ, Church World Service, The National Council of Churches, All Media Design Group, Toomey & Friends Advertising, Cuyahoga Community College, Tri-C JazzFest, BET on Jazz and Duffy Liturgical Dance Company . Some of his current projects can be seen on WVIZ/PBS Ideastream and The Hallmark Channel.
Peterson’s early broadcast experience was gathered over a period of three years at WXYZ-TV in Detroit. There, as an innovative and often bold promo producer, he earned two Emmy nominations and an Emmy in 1987.

His next career move took him to Hollywood, California, where he honed his television production skills to a cutting edge as a Senior Writer-Producer at Encore Communications, Inc. There, his pattern of success continued and he earned numerous awards, including a PROMAX Gold Medallion. He also worked as an Associate Producer on the Columbia Pictures Television pilot “A Question of Scruples”.

Shortly after his arrival in Cleveland, Ohio, Gateway Communications Group offered him a Senior Writer-Producer position. What followed was another string of award winning projects, not the least of which is an affecting film, “On the Edge” geared toward young people and funded by the Think First Foundation. A true labor of love, “On the Edge” earned eight national awards, including a Telly Award; a Silver Screen Award in the 1994 US International Film & Video Festival; and the highly-prized Bronze Anvil Award, the Public Relations Society of America’s top honor.

Following several years at a local production company whose clients included many of the fortune 500 companies headquartered in Cleveland, Peterson joined WUAB-TV, former long-time television home of baseball’s much-revered Cleveland Indians. As WUAB-TV’s Director of Marketing and Promotions, Peterson found ample opportunities to put his unique stamp on breakthrough promotional campaigns, which once again drew local and national attention.
