AMY BURKETT
She joined PBS 39 12 years ago to create and host its weekly
newsmagazine show Tempo. As the Senior Vice President of Production
she and her team are delighted to have received four national public
television awards, eight Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters
Awards, 28 regional Emmy nominations, six regional Emmys and one
regional Edward R. Murrow Award . Amy was recently promoted to
Station Manager and in addition to her production responsibilities is
now in charge of all new business development for the station
including all work for hire in PBS39’s new state of the art production
facility on the largest brownfield redevelopment site in the United
States.
Amy believes in the importance of community involvement and works with youth at her church and across the region. She also served as President of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences from 2009-2011 the organization that produces the regional Emmys and represents over 600 television professionals across four states. She is honored to be in her first term as a National Trustee for NATAS.
Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University in Ohio .
